Ruben is an energetic HR transformation leader with a strong focus on digital HR, HR technology, organizational development, and people analytics. With an international mindset shaped by living and working across multiple countries, he brings a global perspective to large-scale change. He currently serves as Learning Transformation Program Lead at Merck, supporting a workforce of 63,000 employees across 60 countries. Since joining Merck in November 2024, Ruben has been leading the modernization of Learning & Development, with a clear mandate to make L&D AI-ready and deliver personalized, high-impact learning experiences. Prior to this role, he spent three years driving workforce planning and people analytics initiatives and began his career as an HR transformation consultant. Ruben specializes in managing complex, enterprise-wide transformation programs, combining consultancy rigor with hands-on industry experience. His work spans technology stack modernization, operating model redesign, process and vendor strategy, and employee portfolio optimization.
